How it works
The simple average adds up all your grades and divides by how many there are. The weighted average multiplies each grade by its weight, adds those up, and divides by the total weight — so a grade in a 6-credit course counts three times as much as one in a 2-credit course.
To add a weight, type it after the grade with a space: “9 6” means a grade of 9 worth 6 credits. Lines with only a grade get a weight of 1. If any line has its own weight, the weighted average is shown as the headline figure and the plain average is listed underneath for comparison.
Grades can be whole numbers or decimals, and the decimal comma works, so “8,5” is read as 8.5. This suits both the Serbian school scale of 1–5 and university scales such as 6–10 with ECTS credits — the math is the same whatever the scale. Blank lines and any text that is not a number are ignored.

Paste 5, 4, 5, 3, 4 on separate lines. The average is 4.20 across 5 subjects — the “prosek” that goes on a report card. Add more subjects and it recalculates instantly.
University GPA weighted by ECTS
Type “9 6”, “8 5”, “10 4” for three courses worth 6, 5 and 4 credits. The weighted average is 8.93, a touch below the plain average of 9.00, because the lower-scoring course carries the most credits — exactly what weighting captures.

How do I enter my grades?
Type or paste one grade per line. For a weighted average, add the weight after a space, like “9 6”. Decimals are fine and a comma works as the decimal point.
What is the difference between the simple and weighted average?
The simple average treats every grade equally. The weighted average lets some grades count more — for example by course credits or hours — so a high-credit course influences the result more than a small one.
When should I use weights?
Use weights when your grades are not all equally important: university courses measured in ECTS credits, modules with different hours, or an assessment where the final exam counts more than a quiz. For a plain school report, leave weights off.
Which grading scales does it support?
Any numeric scale. It works for the Serbian 1–5 school scale, the 6–10 university scale, percentages, or a 4.0-style GPA — because it just averages the numbers you enter.
Can I use decimal grades?
Yes. Enter values like 8.5 or 4.75; both a dot and a comma are accepted as the decimal separator, matching how grades are often written locally.
What happens to blank lines or notes?
They are ignored. Only lines that start with a number are counted, so you can paste a list that includes subject names or empty lines without breaking the result — though a subject name before the grade on the same line would be misread, so keep the number first.
How is the weighted average rounded?
Both averages are rounded to two decimals for display. The underlying calculation uses the full precision, so the rounding only affects what you see, not intermediate steps.
Is this an official GPA conversion?
No. It computes a mathematical average of the numbers you provide. Converting between different national GPA systems (for example a Serbian average to a US 4.0 GPA) needs an official conversion table from the receiving institution.
Are my grades kept private?
Completely. Everything is calculated in your browser and nothing is sent to a server or stored. Reload the page and the data is gone.
