How do I convert a percentage to a fraction?
Write the percentage over 100 and reduce. 40% is 40/100, which simplifies to 2/5. The word “percent” literally means “per hundred”, so the denominator is always 100 before reducing.
What is 25% as a fraction?

How do I convert a decimal percentage like 12.5%?

Some percentages don’t reduce to tidy fractions — 37% is 37/100, and 37 shares no factor with 100, so it stays 37/100. That’s the simplest correct answer; not every percent has a “nice” fraction.
How does it handle repeating values like 33.33%?
If you type enough digits (33.3333…), it recognises the value as 1/3. With only a couple of digits it gives the exact fraction for what you typed, such as 3333/10000, since that’s what the number literally is.
Can I go the other way, fraction to percentage?
