GBP to RSD Converter

Enter an amount to convert British pounds to Serbian dinars, or swap to go the other way. It uses the official National Bank of Serbia (NBS) middle rate for the pound — useful for family in the UK sending money home, or for pricing a UK salary or purchase in dinars.

The middle rate is a reference value. Banks and exchange offices trade at their own buy/sell rates, so the amount you actually get will differ.

How it works

Your pound amount is multiplied by the NBS official middle rate for the British pound, which is typically the highest of the major rates (a pound is worth more dinars than a euro or dollar). The pound isn’t tied to the dinar, so the rate moves with the global pound–euro market.

The figure shown is the middle (reference) rate for the published date, baked into the page and flagged when over a week old. A money-transfer service or bank keeps a spread on top, so a remittance converts at a little below the middle rate — compare providers on the total dinars delivered, not just the headline rate.

Practical examples

Money sent home from the UK

A £500 transfer is about 69,052 RSD at a middle rate of 138.10. Enter 500 with GBP selected to see the dinar amount before any transfer fee.

A UK salary in dinars

A £2,500 monthly salary is roughly 345,300 RSD at the middle rate — handy for comparing a UK job with local pay.

Dinars to pounds

Swap direction and enter 50,000 RSD to read it as about £362.

Frequently asked questions

How many dinars is one pound?

Around 138 RSD, usually the strongest of the currencies people convert here — more than a euro (≈117) or dollar (≈103). It moves with the global pound rate, so check the date on the figure shown.

What rate is used?

The official National Bank of Serbia middle rate (zvanični srednji kurs) for the British pound, shown with its publication date. It’s a reference rate, not a transfer service’s quote.

I’m sending money from the UK — will the recipient get this amount?

Slightly less. Transfer services and banks apply a margin to the middle rate and may charge a fee. Use this figure as the benchmark and compare providers on the actual dinars delivered.

Why does the pound rate change?

The dinar is managed against the euro, not the pound, so GBP/RSD follows the global EUR/GBP market. When the pound strengthens against the euro, it strengthens against the dinar too.

Is the rate live?

No. The site is static, so the rate is the NBS value from the date shown, refreshed periodically rather than in real time. For an exact quote at the moment of transfer, check your provider.

Can I convert dinars to pounds here?

Yes — use the swap button or set RSD as the “from” currency. The reverse uses the same middle rate, so a round trip returns your original amount.

Does it handle the decimal comma and thousands?

Yes. Type 500 or 2.500,00 and both are read correctly; the dinar result is shown to two decimals.

Should I use this for official purposes?

For a contract, invoice or tax value, use the NBS rate for the exact required date and confirm it on the National Bank’s site. This tool is for quick, everyday conversions.

Is my amount sent anywhere?

No. The rate is bundled with the page and the conversion runs in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded and analytics never receives it.
